Haunted Bookshop aro

I was just out in the cool twilight smoking some haunted bookshop in a cob...and was thinking what if C&D used this as a base for a mild aromatic... now i'm thinking i should buy a bit of vanilla cavendish or something and toy with ratios. Anyone else mixed HB in with something a little sweeter and smoother and got something great out of it? Would love to hear any suggestions, experiences, wild ideas about mixing HB with other tobaccos especially aromatics. saw somewhere else someone liked to mix it with Cult blood red moon but i'm not sure so much about the cherry

I currently have 7 different flavored and 2 not flavored black cavendishes, 1 of the not flavored is C&D Red VA Cavendish. I like having the flavored ones around just for this very reason. Sutliff’s Cav. Maduro Leaf is one that works great for me when I’m experimenting. MacBarens 7 Seas Black can add a gentle vanilla flavor. Fun little tools to have BC blends are.

Couldn't agree more. It's an extremely versatile component.

Dont like HB but.....
I have mixed many different types of cavindish and or things like creme brulee with many other perique and or turkish/oriental blends.

Some of my better smokes.

Just experiment and remember - black cavindish goes a long way.
Start out light and figure it out.

Good idea, I'm thinking some gl pease Virginia creme might work in there pretty well, next smoke.
Ok so scratch thar idea.. maybe. I mixed it 60%HB 40%VC. Room note was war department approved but it lacked much sweetness from the virgina creme and lacked the amazing burley characteristics of HB, however I think I packed it on the way too tight side to get everything I mixed into the bowl. Another try with a loose pack and we will see.

I like to lay out my blends in piles next to each other then flatten the base out and sprinkle in each pile and dry blend (mix) them together and put them in a bigger jar and spin it around in my hands and then dump it out on my parchment paper and lightly mix it up again.

Then push it aside and pip open a tin and load my bowl. :roflmao:

Just playing with that part
