I forgot... Just about any Daughters and Ryan blend is incredibly easy to smoke. The Rimbochés are my favorite, along with Two Timer regular, and Three Sails. The Three Sails is a FINE shag cut, and burns effortlessly, but smoke it slowly. Picayune is also good, but it's pretty stout.
My uncle and i were talking about this the other day. We agreed that it can sometimes depend on the pipe too. For him "a straight pot with a big bowl" and any decent danish blend.
I said I can "fold and stuff 1 flake of PS navy flake, into my little castello and be on my way" For me it is little pipes and VA, BUR, PUR combo blends. For him it is big pipes with tobaccos that are "mildly aromatic"
He has also always said the best smoking experience is "English pipes and Danish tobaccos" I prefer "Italian pipes and american tobaccos"
It sure is! I need to get around to trying some of their other offerings like Three Sails, as I love a good shag cut. Speaking of stout, I also need to try some of that Toque Rustica snuff you and Roadsdiverged love, but that's off topic.
Agree here.. I have recently discovered the merits of Pegasus..no fuss, easy pack and light, sit back and enjoy a blend that is like the old time OTCs that I remember from my youth and early adulthood..
Can you tell I like it?
Have you ever asked yourself, "why did I wait so long?"
After years of smoking mainly plugs and flakes I think any ribbon cut will be found to be as easy smoking as it gets, take your pick of the blend according to your taste and mood. My tastes are changing more to the ribbons simply because I can't be bothered some of the time with the cutting or re lights and there are usually cut versions or ready rubbed to suit my needs. I just don't like the faster burn but there are answers to that too.
