I prefer Newminster 400. Never got the flavour thing with PS LNF. Strange, as I really appreciate LBF and LTF. But that 400 I get along with very well. It speaks to me of Graham cracker and a touch of honey bran, a sweet bag note of tea and biscuits.
Physically, the Newminster flake is much larger than the Stokkebye, and also a bit drier.
I like 'em both pretty well. I've been on a jag lately w/ Anniversary Kake. I love the way it develops. If you haven't tried it you should. Smoking it while working I sometimes just stop because the flavor just grabs me.
I don't find them alike at all but my preference is LNF as it it is a little more smoker friendly to me. I like the Newminster with it's graham cracker character but I find the LNF more flavorful, more hay and citrus with a hint of spice from the Perique.
