PSD Tobacco of the Year

Sir Saartan

The Tan Saarlander
You guys...
"Ernie your blends great!"
"Ernie's blends are second to none!"
"Ernie is the best blender in the U.S."

Also, you guys...
"Don't put latakia"
"Use cigar leaf"
"You should do this....do that...don't do this....don't do that...."

:eeeek:

Let the man do what he's going to do.
You love his Watch City blends for a reason. Trust the man. Trust the process.

Or we could do two blends of the year. One blended by Ernie and the other blended by committee here. I know which one I’d order.

I can 100% tell, for what it’s worth. I still like it a lot and Latakia is typically poison for me. For folks who smoke Latakia blends maybe not but I can sense it ambling aimlessly from a mile away.

Deluxe crumb cut is one of the very few blends I enjoy with it as it’s juuuust there and not dominating the way even most “light touch Latakia” blends are to me. To my tastes, it’s precisely how it is best used. Way in the background.
I tend to have a similar experience, blends that have lat in them to me are often dominated entirely by it, there's a few exceptions, CB Black Sea comes to mind, apparently Ernie says that it's in some WC blends and if the slices are used as a judge I'll trust him to do it in a fashion I'll enjoy. A lot of the STG lat blends though are either latakia, or not, usually not any middle ground to my tastes
