Pushing each other off of fences

I thought it might be fun to have a thread where people post purchases they've been considering and the rest of us either talk them down or enable them as we see fit. Sort of a should I or shouldn't I deal. If you have a side of the fence you're hoping to land on feel free to mention it. Sometimes we all need a nudge. I'll go first:

Recently I tried to order a Baki but it didn't work out (I'll be updating that thread in the next couple days) so my search for a high end meerschaum has resumed. I found a nice looking spigot billiard from Altinay but there are some cons: it's on the heavy end for me at 50g (I mostly clench, but my similarly weighted straight billiard from Radice is manageable), and it has a somewhat janky looking eagle carved on it. The pros: it's $100-$130 less than similar pipes, and maybe that eagle is actually a pigeon? I like pigeons, they're unassuming and have zero rabid nationalist associations.

Anyone care to give me a shove?

A meerschaum has been on my list for awhile now, but I've been unable to find the right one. I have looked at quite a few and haven't seen one quite like the one you posted. I think that's reason enough to buy it! :)

Yeah, even with it facing away from me I'll still know it's there. If it were, say, overtly cross eyed or something I'd at least think it was silly enough to be fun but as is it's just kind of...not good.

That smug, judgemental look on it's face, as if its disgusting by whatever blend you'd be smoking, or criticizing you for too many relights.

It kinda looks like one of those medieval paintings where the artist had heard descriptions of monkeys, rhinoceroses, camels etc. but had never actually seen one, though decided to go ahead and paint one anyway.

I imagine that's why it's clearance priced on the Altinay outlet.

Ok, the naysayers take the day for me! I will not be buying this pipe.
