Removing paint from a cob

I was painting while smoking (first time) and wasn’t mindful of not grabbing my cob with paint on my hands:



Any thoughts on how to get this off? Or is it better to just leave it on there?

This. I use cobs for work so I don't risk more expensive pipes.

Happens, if it's latex paint it'll scrub off with a toothbrush and a little water.

You could carve it with an xacto knife.

If it is latex, a few drops of lacquer thinner will desolve it in a few seconds.
