The case of the vanishing pipe.

Over the past few days there was a beautiful J.T. Cooke blasted Volcano listed. Suddenly it's gone. I don't know how Ebay does things, but there were bids on that pipe--not mine, but I see it is not showing up. I find it puzzling how pipes, and other items just suddenly are no longer listed even though there are existing bids on the item. Maybe I need brought up to speed on their policies.
Sellers can delete an auction at any time, but they forfeit the fees.

Seller is happy, since he didn't have to sell at the price he didn't like. eBay is happy, since they got paid, and the seller will almost invariably pay the fees a second time to re-list the item.

With eBay, it is all about the money, not the money for the seller or buyer, but for eBay. They are in business to make money, and they act like it. Still, we occasionally get a great deal.
