Rather than pitch out plugged cigars, look into a “Perfect Draw” cigar tool. They basically pay for themselves after three repairs. Great little investment.
I also use Cigar Glue (pectin) for when it’s too cold outside for Connecticut Shade wrappers to hold together in freezing temps, or when the cigar is a bit too moist and I didn’t have time to dry-box it for 3 - 4 days before smoking it. Dry-boxing can help with burn issues as well - especially tunneling.
