Beauty! Can I ask what you use for the cap ends? I have a dead blue oak trunk and a dead CA valley oak trunk (both killed by the CA central valley heat) that have been aging for about four years now that I would like to turn down into tampers...thanks for the help!

If you are talking about the foot.
It is bronze. The Oak is a repurposed
pallet. The darkness around my
maker’s mark is from a rusty nail
that used to inhabit that spot.
