If it wan't hotter that two rats humping in a wool sock I might got try blasting it.

Throw the pipe in the wool sock and make the best that way...that’s how Alfred Dunhill used to do it...in the basement of his shop in London...all day and night you could here him down there with the socks and the rats. He wouldn’t have eaten if he didn’t have to leave the basement twice a day for more rats...and more socks...

If there was a GRE type test for pipe smoker's forum moderators, this post would be would be a model for an essay question. The question would simply be, how would you react to this post, discuss? :roflmao:

I figured I would need a drill but with a rounded bottom, so I started modifying a spade bit...

Above I have scored a line with the approximate radius and have ground the bit down just shy of the line using a coarse stone on a bench grinder (with lots of dunks in water too cool as I don't want the bit to loose its temper-no one likes a mad bit).
You have a good start on that shaping your drill. I have not drilled out a pipe chamber. Do you plan to pilot drill the hole finishing it with your bottom drill?
